NexGen Contracting, based in Franklin, TN, seeks a seasoned Pre-Construction Services Manager specializing in concrete and steel to lead the preconstruction phase across projects. You will oversee the estimating team, develop competitive bids, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to align objectives and costs.

The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication to drive cost-effective, high-quality estimates while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; minimum 10 years of estimating/preconstruction management experience.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software (Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, Sage Estimating, Planswift).
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the entire preconstruction process, from initial concept through project turnover.
• Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Develop and implement strategies for competitive bidding and cost management.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity of project objectives.
• Review and analyze RFPs, perform quantity take-offs, and develop detailed cost estimates.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the estimating team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor and report on preconstruction metrics and KPIs to senior leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
