Stoneway Concrete, a division of Merlino Construction, seeks a Dispatcher for our Seattle facility. This full-time role covers order taking, light dispatching, and coordinating with drivers to ensure timely deliveries.

You will develop knowledge of concrete, mix designs, and input orders accurately, while reading demand graphs to schedule drivers. Strong data entry and logistics experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with logistics, concrete construction and/or trucking.
• Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time.
• Computer and data entry skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
• Ability to stay calm during high stress situations.
• Ability to prioritize and problem solve quickly in real time situations.

Responsibilities

• Order taking and light dispatching.
• Communicate information with drivers verbally via radio.
• Develop knowledge of concrete and mix designs.
• Input orders accurately.
• Read demand graphs to schedule drivers.
• Relay jobsite directions and order information to drivers and QC technicians.
• Keep records and report driver injuries/accidents.
• Work with sales and technical services to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate with batch plant operator and shop to keep deliveries running smoothly.
