Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Concessions Cook to support quick service and food preparation for guests in a high-volume setting. You will handle food prep, inspect products, maintain kitchen sanitation, and assist with receiving bulk orders while embodying a leadership approach that motivates and serves the team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in a high-volume restaurant/concessions kitchen preferred or equivalent.
• Operating knowledge of food management systems is helpful.
• Leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and other items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows closing checklists for stations; assists others in closing.
• Uses standard recipe cards; does not rely on memory of self or others.
• Maintains cleanliness and functioning of equipment through inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensures food and beverage products are prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, cooking times, and presentation standards.
