Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is hiring a Restaurant Line Cook to support the Chef in preparing and finishing high‑quality dishes for guests at our resort locations. You’ll work as part of a team delivering consistent meals that meet our standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of progressive experience as a culinary graduate or at least 2 years in a hotel restaurant/food outlet facility or related field.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of food items for all restaurant meals, visually inspecting all food products to be served to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assist ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, safety in the kitchen, and storage areas while minimizing waste, maximizing cost/production ratio.
• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the facility recipes, portioning, cooking, timing, serving, and presentation standards.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the culinary preventative maintenance programs.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the kitchen areas, associates and guests.
