Job summary

The New School’s College of Performing Arts is seeking highly qualified Overhire Assistant Stage Managers to join its concerts and events team in New York City. Reporting to the Event Production Manager, you will support stage moves, backstage operations, and artist entrances during events.

Qualifications

• One year of assistant stage management or three years as production assistant.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Ability to manage time and work under tight deadlines.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand long hours.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage show paperwork with the Stage/Production Manager.
• Coordinate onstage and backstage activities and artist wrangling.
• Communicate with creative team, cast and crew.
• Assist with rehearsals, soundchecks, and scheduling as needed.
