Job summary

The New School’s Production Department is seeking an Overhire Production A/V Stagehand to support audio and video needs for performances and partner events at the College of Performing Arts.

You will assist with stage moves, install audio/video gear, and maintain equipment under supervision, with opportunities for on-call scheduling. This is an on-site, in-person role supporting events and studios.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year as a stage technician for concerts, events, or theater.
• Strong knowledge of gain structure and signal flow.
• Experience with audio software including Pro Tools and Dante tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret audio and video needs and set up signal flow and stage plots.
• Run cables safely and implement ground plans for load-ins.
• Patch and test microphones and speakers with A1/A2 support.
• Support stage moves and maintain equipment and spaces.
