Job summary

Techtronic Industries Co. is seeking an Engineer in the Advanced Concepts group at our Anderson, SC office.

You will ideate, prototype and test future product solutions, collaborating with industrial designers and engineers to deliver functional prototypes and feasibility assessments for future development. The role involves hands-on fabrication, design refinement, and presenting concepts to drive decision-making across brands like RYOBI and RIDGID.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–3 years’ experience in design, prototyping, and/or test fixture development.
• 3D CAD experience required.
• Hands-on fabrication experience (3D printing, woodworking, metalworking).
• Experience with electronics (Arduino/Raspberry Pi a plus).
• Understanding of power, speed and torque metrics.
• Experience with vibration and sound measurement a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ideate and create prototypes for future product needs.
• Develop demos showcasing product performance and features.
• Collaborate with Industrial Designers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and quality to meet milestones.
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
