Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 0–3 years’ experience in design, prototyping, and/or test fixture development
• 3D CAD experience
• Hands-on fabrication: 3D printing, woodworking, metal working
• Experience with electronics (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) a plus
• Knowledge of power, speed, torque metrics
• Experience with vibration and sound measurement a plus
• Eye for aesthetically pleasing designs a plus

We currently have an open Engineering position in the Advanced Concepts group at our Anderson, SC office.Advanced Concepts is an interdisciplinary innovation group of designers and engineers within the Power Tool division, tasked with developing cutting-edge concepts for brands such as RYOBI and RIDGID. You will work hand and hand with other Advanced Concepts team members, as well as engineering, industrial design, analytical, and project management groups to deliver functional prototypes that can be evaluated for feasibility or concept recommendations that can be used for later product development. Your day-to-day activities will include: brainstorms, designing and building prototypes, feasibility testing, and concept refinement.
