Job summary

Techtronic Industries - TTI in Anderson, SC is seeking an Engineering professional in the Advanced Concepts group. You will ideate, prototype, test and refine concepts for brands such as RYOBI and RIDGID, collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver functional prototypes and feasibility assessments.

The role emphasizes hands‑on design, rapid prototyping, and clear communication to progress concepts toward product development while aligning with schedule and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or equivalent engineering degree.
• 0-3 years’ experience in design, prototyping, and/or test fixture development.
• Strong 3D CAD experience.
• Experience with hands‑on fabrication (3D printing, woodworking, metalworking).
• Experience with electronics including Arduino and Raspberry Pi is a plus.
• Understanding of power, speed and torque metrics.
• Experience with measurement equipment for vibration and sound is a plus.
• An eye for aesthetically pleasing designs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross functional team including Industrial Designers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.

Come join the team at Techtronic Industries, the world leader in cordless technology spanning Power Tools, Outdoor Power Equipment, Floor Care Appliances and Accessories. We currently have an open Engineering position in the Advanced Concepts group at our Anderson, SC office.

Advanced Concepts is an interdisciplinary innovation group of designers and engineers within the Power Tool division, tasked with developing cutting-edge concepts for brands such as RYOBI and RIDGID. You will work hand and hand with other Advanced Concepts team members, as well as engineering, industrial design, analytical, and project management groups to deliver functional prototypes that can be evaluated for feasibility or concept recommendations that can be used for later product development. Your day-to-day activities will include: brainstorms, designing and building prototypes, feasibility testing, and concept refinement. We are a very hands‑on group that thrives on learning throughout our diverse projects to create new and innovative products.

Primary Responsibilities
