Job summary

NerdsToGo is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to perform onsite configurations, installations, and upgrades of PC hardware and software for both residential and business customers.

The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of Windows PC and network experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a customer-focused approach to expand our growing team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience with Windows-based PCs and networking in both residential and business environments.
• Strong knowledge of PC troubleshooting and repair, hardware and software/OS.
• Knowledge of network troubleshooting, wiring, PC troubleshooting (e.g. Network+, MCSE).
• Proficiency with peer-to-peer and client/server network configurations and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Onsite computer solutions for Windows and Apple computers.
• Network installation and maintenance (LAN/WAN).
• Data recovery and loss prevention.
• Virus protection and spyware removal; security enhancements.
• PC hardware and software fault isolation and repair; system upgrades.
• One-on-one training for customers.

Job Summary

The Nerd will complete desktop configurations, installations and upgrades of personal computer hardware and software, perform technology audits, provide software and operating system support on Mac and all versions of Windows, and offer proactive remote monitoring on business systems. The Nerd must have a strong field service background and customer service skills. Nerds must have solid technical skills, good communication skills and the desire to be a part of growing and exciting team.

Responsibilities

• Onsite computer solutions for Windows-based PCs and Apple computers
• Offer solutions such as hardware upgrades and remote monitoring to Residential customers and Business customers
• Network installation and maintenance (wired, wireless, LAN, WAN)
• Data recovery and loss prevention
• Virus protection and Spyware/Adware removal
• Computer security enhancement
• PC Hardware and software fault isolation and repair
• System repair and upgrades
• Software upgrade and installation
• One-on-one training

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience with Windows-based PCs ( Win10, Win11) and networking in both residential and business environments
• Strong knowledge of PC troubleshooting and repair, both hardware and software/OS
• Knowledge of network troubleshooting, wiring, PC troubleshooting (ex. Network+, MCSE, etc.)
• Proficiency with peer-to-peer and client/server network configurations and troubleshooting
• Professional, high-energy, customer-oriented work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Must be willing to submit to mandatory background check
