Job summary

Medisca is expanding its Compounding Support team and seeks a self-motivated pharmacist or technician to advise on compounding formulas, quality assurance, and regulatory standards. You will review formulations, respond to client inquiries, and contribute to SOPs while staying current with USP/NAPRA/FDA guidelines.

Travel up to two weeks per year to tradeshow and training events; strong documentation and communication skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical compounding industry
• Experience with 503A, 503B and cGMP is preferred
• Knowledge of USP, NAPRA, FDA, Health Canada guidelines is an asset
• Experience in training pharmacists and lab technicians is an asset

Responsibilities

• Review non-sterile and sterile formulations for client requests
• Evaluate client requests for safety, efficacy, appropriateness, and dosing
• Verify formulas against primary literature and compatibility of APIs/excipients
• Perform calculations, prep steps, and regulatory considerations
• Respond to client inquiries via email or phone; provide technical troubleshooting
