Job summary

Medisca is seeking a Compounding Specialist to support internal and external clients with technical formulation inquiries, including peptides, hormone restoration therapy, veterinary compounding, and practice expansion.

You will review non-sterile and sterile formulations, verify safety and efficacy, respond to client inquiries, and provide guidance on equipment and ready bases. This full-time role offers remote options and requires up to two weeks of travel per year.

Qualifications

• Educational background - BS Pharmacy, PharmD or Pharmacy Technician.
• 3–5 years of pharmacist experience in compounding; technicians with 10 years preferred.
• Peptide formulation and education experience (sterile and non-sterile).
• 503A, 503B and cGMP experience.
• Knowledge of USP, NAPRA, FDA, Health Canada and boards.

Responsibilities

• Review non-sterile and sterile formulations per client requests.
• Evaluate client requests for safety, efficacy, justification, and administration route.
• Verify formulas with primary literature and stability of APIs/excipients.
• Verify calculations, preparation steps, and regulatory parameters.
• Respond to client inquiries via email or phone; provide technical troubleshooting.
• Consult on niche areas including peptides, hormone restoration therapy, veterinary compounding.
• Stay up to date with standards; assist SOPs and continuous quality improvement.
• Travel up to two weeks per year for tradeshows or training.
