Training and mentoring Compounding Technician I staff are part of the duties. Qualifications include a high school diploma, a minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience, and a active CPhT license where required by state.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and state licensure if required.
• Strong customer service and accuracy in medication handling.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with prescription compounding and dispensing.
• Prepare medications accurately for compounding.
• Perform basic dosage calculations to ensure correct dosing.
• Review compounded and packaged medications for quality.
• Ensure all compounding and packaging are approved by a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain clean room surfaces, equipment, and logs; calibrate equipment.
