Option Care Health Inc. is seeking a compounding technician I to work under a licensed pharmacist in a clean room environment, focusing on safe, accurate, and efficient compounding operations.

The role involves preparation, processing, and adherence to policies and state regulations. The technician provides customer service, performs basic calculations, and assists with documentation, equipment maintenance, and log management.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
• Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies & procedures, and state regulations & standards.
• Prepares medications to ensure accurate compounding.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages of medications.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
• Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspects equipment and documents any equipment failures or defects.
• Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature & cleaning logs.
