Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Compounding Technician II to support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications in a clean room environment. You will perform key compounding duties and ensure quality across the preparation process.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of pharmacy tech experience, and a CPhT license or state registration where required. Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required or registered/licensed if state requires.
• Strong math and basic calculations are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policies and regulations.
• Prepare medications for accurate compounding.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Review and inspect compounded and packaged medications for quality.
• Ensure all compounding and packaging is approved by a licensed pharmacist.
