Job summary
Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician II to work under a licensed pharmacist in a clean room, performing compounding and related tasks to support safe patient care.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, CPhT, and strong math and computer skills. Offers competitive hourly pay, benefits, and opportunities to mentor others within a growing home infusion network.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and licensure as required by state.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
- Strong mathematical calculation skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Assists pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policy and regulations.
- Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
- Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct dosages.
- Reviews and inspects compounded and packaged medications for quality.
- Ensures compounding and packaging are approved by a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintains pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods; calibrates equipment.
- Records and maintains pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
- Trains and mentors Compounding Technician I's.
