Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician II to support sterile compounding in a clean room environment. Under a licensed pharmacist, you will help prepare and dispense medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and state requirements.

Responsibilities include site maintenance, equipment calibration, and training junior technicians. This role emphasizes patient safety, quality assurance, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued/registered as required by state.
• Must be licensed or registered where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policy and state standards.
• Prepare medications to ensure accurate compounding.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
• Review compounded/packaged medications for quality standards.
• Ensure compounding/packaging are approved by a licensed pharmacist.
• Support with site and supplies/equipment maintenance and logs.
