Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Compounding Technician II to work under a licensed Pharmacist in a clean room, performing medication compounding for safe, accurate operations.

Role emphasizes preparation, processing, quality checks, and adherence to state regulations while supporting training of junior technicians and maintaining equipment and logs. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required.
• Must be licensed or registered if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications as per policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Review and inspect compounded and packaged medications for quality.
• Ensure compounding and packaging are approved by a licensed pharmacist.
• Keep pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods clean and sanitized.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate functioning.
• Maintain temperature and cleaning logs.
• Train and mentor Compounding Technician I’s.
