Job summary

Option Care Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Compounding Technician II to support pharmacist-led medication prep in a clean room, spending at least 50% of time on compounding to ensure safe, accurate operations.

You will assist with preparation and dispensing, maintain equipment and logs, train junior technicians, and uphold quality standards. This role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years as a pharmacy tech, and CPhT.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years pharmacy technician experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
• Must be licensed or registered where required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations for dosages.
• Review and inspect compounded/packaged medications for quality.
• Ensure compounding/packaging is approved by a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods cleanliness.
• Calibrate equipment and maintain temperature/cleaning logs.
• Train Compounding Technician I's.
