Option Care Health, Inc. is recruiting a compounding technician I who will work in a clean room and assist with preparation and dispensing of medications under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

The role emphasizes accurate compounding, labeling, documentation, and adherence to state regulations and internal policies. The position requires at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, strong math skills, and solid organizational ability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards.
• Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting...).
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, formatting cells as currency...).
• Basic level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, rearranging slides...).

Responsibilities

• Prescription Compounding, Preparation, & Processing.
• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in recording and reporting medication related incidents.
• Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspects equipment and documents equipment failures or defects.
• Maintains pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
