Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician I to join our team. The role supports pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications in a clean room, with emphasis on accurate compounding and proper labeling.

Responsibilities include basic calculations, labeling, and incident reporting, within state guidelines. Experience in pharmacy operations and laminar flow environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies, procedures and state standards.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to determine correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
