Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a Project Manager - Building Technology to oversee operations of Truss Design Services and Truss Implementations. You will coordinate projects with internal teams and customers, document and schedule work, and communicate progress.

The role requires a degree in a related field, 5 years of experience in prefabricated wood truss design, strong knowledge of building codes, and proficiency with Truss Design Software and SQL. Travel up to 15% and remote work are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Design/Drafting Diploma preferred.
• 5 years' experience with design and engineering of prefabricated metal plate connected wood trusses and EWP.
• Understanding of wood framed construction practices, details, building codes, and design standards.
• Math: algebra, geometry, and trig concepts.
• Reading comprehension for construction documents including drawings.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for groups and clients.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and manage multiple variables.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects with Design Services and Component Review Services teams and document progress.
• Manage and track Design Services processes, plan and report progress to stakeholders.
• Refine project management processes across Operations & Distribution Teams to improve throughput.
• Collaborate with sales to assess client needs and demonstrate software capabilities.
• Assist with software implementation and establish customer success measures.
