Job summary

The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) seeks a Compliance Officer to join Iowa Title Guaranty (ITG). This role focuses on auditing title production, settlements, and escrow accounts, while training attorneys, abstractors, and closers to ensure program compliance.

You will build trusted relationships with participants and internal teams to strengthen operations and reduce risk. Ideal candidates are analytical, effective communicators, and comfortable leading training sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; three years investigative or closely related work may substitute for some education requirements.
• Law degree or equivalent professional qualification provides a strong advantage.
• Seven years of education and/or experience can satisfy the minimum qualifications under certain conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of title production, settlement, and escrow accounts to verify compliance with ITG program rules.
• Develop and deliver training materials, webinars, and other resources for attorneys, abstractors, and ITG staff.
• Engage stakeholders to communicate ITG requirements, provide guidance, and reduce operational risk.
