Job summary

Heron Power Inc. is seeking a Compliance Engineering Technician to underpin our compliance lab operations, building and maintaining test infrastructure, enforcing quality and safety standards, and leading technician activities.

You will design fixtures, manage lab space and equipment, and drive safety and ISO 17025 conformity across all lab activities, while supervising technicians and coordinating test campaigns with project timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in electrical technology or equivalent hands-on training.
• 5+ years of hands-on work in a test lab or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment used in fixture fabrication and lab builds.
• Hands-on experience operating test and measurement equipment: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal chambers, data loggers.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 or equivalent laboratory quality management system.
• Strong safety discipline and ability to enforce safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and maintain test fixtures and wiring for power hardware test setups.
• Own lab layout and infrastructure; plan space, coordinate build-out with contractors.
• Procure and manage lab consumables and spare parts to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Lead root cause analysis on test failures and coordinate corrective actions.
