Job summary

IDEAL Industries, Inc. is seeking a Test Lab Supervisor to lead the Compliance Test Laboratory’s daily operations and personnel, aligning testing activities with product development, quality, and manufacturing objectives.

The role partners with Engineering, Quality, and external agencies to ensure safe, accurate, and audit-ready testing results. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on technical leadership, a strong safety mindset, and proven ability to drive continuous improvement in a regulated

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology, Quality Technology, or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of laboratory, product‑validation, engineering‑technician, quality, or manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory, team‑lead, or project‑lead experience; direct people‑management experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating work with external test or certification agencies such as UL, CSA, or TÜV.
• Strong planning, organization, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the daily activities of the Compliance Test Laboratory and laboratory team; manage testing schedules and resources.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Lab Technicians; oversee onboarding, training, and qualifications.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, environmental, endurance, reliability, and product‑validation testing; review plans and data.
