Job summary

IDEAL Industries is seeking a Test Lab Supervisor to lead the Compliance Test Laboratory, guiding testing programs and personnel to support product development, validation, quality, and manufacturing objectives.

You will supervise Lab Technicians, prioritize workloads, and ensure safe, audit-ready operations while partnering with Engineering and external labs to deliver reliable test results.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in laboratory, product-validation, or manufacturing environments.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team-leading experience; people management preferred.
• Experience coordinating with external test/certification agencies (UL/CSA/TÜV).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and lab data management practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily activities of the Compliance Test Laboratory and team.
• Set testing priorities, schedules, and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
• Ensure tests adhere to approved plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities in investigations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and external agencies.
