Job summary

Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging seeks a Compliance Generalist who is an RN or Licensed Social Worker to apply clinical knowledge in evaluating cases for compliance with contracts and regulatory standards in Ohio.

You will develop policies, deliver audit findings and corrective actions, generate regular reports for leadership, and partner with teams to manage risk while protecting consumer confidentiality. Strong organization, analytics and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in Ohio or licensed Social Worker in Ohio.
  • Preference for at least 2 years of compliance, supervisory or quality improvement experience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates cases for compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and revises policies and procedures for the Compliance Program.
  • Provides post-audit findings and corrective action plans to ensure standards are met.
  • Identifies potential compliance risks and collaborates with other departments to resolve issues.

The Compliance Generalist also compiles and analyzes data related to assessment, care management and other services to assist with identifying and resolving areas of potential compliance risk.Job Duties:Serves as clinical and compliance subject matter expert.Evaluates cases for compliance with contract and regulatory requirement as well as standards of care and sound clinical judgment.Develops, initiates, maintains and revises policies and procedures related to general operation of Compliance Program for assigned programs.Provides post audit findings and recommendations to ensure contractual program and compliance standards.Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Works with Compliance Officer and other departments (e.g. Case Management) to develop corrective action plans for resolution of issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future based on regulatory requirements and clinical experience.Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested to keep the Compliance Officer, Compliance Committee and/or senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously by maintaining established time frames, adhering to deadlines and communicating changes effectively.Maintain minimum proficiency in all requisite computer applications and software.Maintain consumer confidentiality according to agency policy.Participate in trainings, meetings, in-services and continuing education opportunities requested by supervisor or manager.Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with the Ohio Board of Nursing or currently licensed as a social worker by the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board.Preference for at least 2 years of compliance, supervisory or quality improvement experience.Experience with team process, assessment and case work preferred.Must have strong organizational skills with accuracy and keen attention to details.Must have research and analytical skillsMust have excellent interpersonal and business communication skills.Ability to communicate in a collaborative, effective manner with others and to maintain good working relationships.Must be proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, databases, email and use of the Internet to research and create documents and materials.Ability to use and be trained in multiple databases.Must have a car available during working hours, as well as the ability to legally drive a car.Ability to independently identify, research and resolve issueSound technical skills, analytical ability and good judgementAbility to sit for prolonged periods of time, completing chart auditsPhysical Requirements:May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.May need to sit or stand for extended periods.See in the normal visual range with or without correction.Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.Ability to communicate in face to face, phone, email, and other communications.Ability to push/pull/lift/100 pounds.Requires some exposure to warm chemicals and cleaning products.Requires exposures to warm and cold temperatures.If you are interested in joining our dynamic team of professionals, please click “Apply” to submit your qualifications.
