Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business or related field.
• 5+ years in progressive compensation roles.
• Experience leading annual compensation cycles (merit, bonus, promotion).
• Experience with benchmarking, market pricing, salary structures, and job evaluation.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Workday/HRIS implementations & optimization are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead compensation strategy, benchmarking, and program design.
• Oversee market analyses and compensation benchmarking activities.
• Create and maintain job architecture and salary structures.
• Manage annual compensation cycles including merit, bonus, promotions, and incentives.
• Collaborate with HR leadership and support enterprise Workday transformation.

Beacon Hill was founded to set a new standard in search, career placement and flexible staffing. Our client, a prominent law firm, is seeking a Compensation Manager to join its team in New York City. This role will lead compensation strategy, benchmarking, job architecture, salary structures, and annual compensation programs. The position will partner closely with HR leadership to support compensation planning, market analysis, and an enterprise-wide Workday transformation. The ideal candidate will have experience building or enhancing compensation programs within a law firm or professional services environment and managing complex compensation projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field, required.
• 5+ years of progressive compensation experience, required.
• Experience leading annual compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, promotion, and incentive programs, required.
• Experience with compensation benchmarking, market pricing, salary structures, and job evaluation, required.
• Experience supporting compensation functions within a law firm or professional services organization, preferred.
• Experience with Workday or compensation-related HRIS implementations and optimization projects, preferred.

The salary for this role is $160K-$180K. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
