Job summary

Our client, a forward-thinking financial services institution in Upington, Northern Cape, seeks an HR Specialist focused on Compensation & Benefits. You will design, implement, and manage competitive C&B programs to attract and retain talent, align with market trends and legal requirements, and partner with HR leadership and external vendors.

Responsibilities include salary structures, benchmarking, benefits administration, vendor management, budgeting collaboration with Finance, and driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of Compensation & Benefits experience.
• Experience designing salary structures and employee benefits.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficient in Excel.
• Knowledge of SA labor laws related to compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and administer compensation and benefits programs.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking for competitiveness.
• Analyze compensation data and recommend adjustments.
• Manage employee benefits administration (health insurance, retirement plans).
• Ensure compliance with compensation and benefits legislation.
• Develop communication strategies for C&B programs.
• Partner with HR and Finance on budgeting for C&B.
• Evaluate and select C&B vendors and service providers.
• Participate in HR projects related to total rewards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of C&B trends.
