Job summary

University of Richmond seeks a Compensation Consultant to provide analysis, consultation, and program support for the university's compensation program. You will partner with the Director of Compensation and HR stakeholders on job evaluation, market pricing, internal equity analysis, FLSA determinations, salary administration, surveys, merit programs, and strategic compensation initiatives.

You will work across Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, and leadership to ensure competitive compensation

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of compensation practices, programs, and plans.
• Thorough understanding of federal and state laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Technical proficiency using a human resources information system and Microsoft Office Products.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Partners with the Director of Compensation to administer, design, and maintain compensation programs.
• Performs job analysis and evaluation to determine classification, level, salary range, and FLSA status.
• Provides compensation consultation on hiring, promotions, and reorganizations using market data and pay policies.
• Conducts market pricing, internal equity, and survey analyses to assess competitiveness and risks.
• Supports annual salary and merit increase processes with budgeting and reporting.
• Monitors effectiveness of policies and recommends improvements.
• Develops compensation metrics and reports for leadership insights.
• Coordinates with Workday Sustainment and HRIS to maintain data and processing of transactions.
• Provides subject-matter guidance on job evaluation and salary administration.
