Job summary

Delaware North in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time Compensation Analyst to support hourly compensation programs across our organization. You will develop and maintain salary structures, analyze market data, and partner with HR leaders to ensure competitive pay practices.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business/finance/HR (MBA preferred), 3+ years in compensation analytics, strong Excel, and experience with Workday or similar HRIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, HR, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of compensation, HR analytics, Total Rewards, or related experience.
• Experience conducting market pricing and compensation analysis.
• Experience supporting salary structures, pay grades, or compensation administration programs and working in a multi-state environment.
• Union experience is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience using compensation survey platforms and market data sources.
• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market pricing analyses and evaluate compensation trends, survey data, and competitive pay practices to support hourly compensation recommendations.
• Develop, maintain, and administer hourly salary structures, pay ranges, job classifications, and grade assignments.
• Partner with HR Managers and business leaders to provide guidance on job pricing, pay placement, compensation policies, and market competitiveness.
• Maintain compensation data, job architecture, and pay structures within Workday and related systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support compensation reviews related to reorganizations, acquisitions, minimum wage changes, and market adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations, pay transparency requirements, and other applicable compensation standards.
• Prepare compensation reports, analyses, and dashboards, respond to stakeholder inquiries, and identify opportunities to improve processes, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
