Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Compensation Analyst in Irving, TX to analyze and administer core compensation programs and support market competitiveness. You will manage survey submissions, wage compliance, and data integrity in Workday and related systems, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and HRBPs on offers and program design.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in compensation, strong Excel skills, and a analytical mindset. CCP designation is a plus; retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or graduate degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of compensation experience in HR, preferably in analytics.
• Proficient in Excel for data modeling and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Market pricing & salary administration; determine salary grades and ranges based on internal/external equity.
• Complete survey submissions for annual and ad hoc market surveys; use results for salary planning.
• Monitor and implement minimum wage changes at federal/state/local levels for compliance.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HRBP to advise on competitive compensation for offers.
• Conduct internal equity audits and weekly pay audits.
• Maintain compensation data and systems (Workday, other records).
• Generate ad-hoc reporting and analytics on pay and compression trends.
• Assist with annual bonus, merit, and commission programs.
