Job summary

Hebron Animal Hospital in Hebron, KY, is seeking a friendly veterinary receptionist to join a six-doctor team. You will welcome clients, answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and process payments while supporting a calm, caring environment.

This role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic. Experience in veterinary reception is preferred, and benefits are offered to support staff.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary receptionist or client service experience.
• Compassionate, calm, and able to support clients during stressful situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Highly organized with multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary software/systems.
• Self-starter eager to expand veterinary knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism.
• Answer phones, emails, and client questions; direct concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Schedule appointments to support efficient hospital workflow.
• Check clients in and out and process payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Provide compassionate emotional support to clients during difficult situations.
• Explain veterinary recommendations and next steps to clients.
• Multitask in a busy veterinary environment while maintaining excellent client service.
