Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with practice management software: Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVetPractice or ezyVet.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and vaccination protocols.
• Strong communication and cash-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using PM software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line phone system; respond to appointment, refill, vaccination, and info requests.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups.
• Communicate medical information accurately and compassionately, including end-of-life discussions.
• Maintain accurate EMR and timely data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to relay client communications and maintain patient flow.
• Keep reception area and waiting room clean and organized for a positive experience.
