Village Animal Hospital in the Lexington area is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, monitor hospitalized pets, and educate clients. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in patient care and surgery as needed.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams.
• Perform in-hospital lab work and prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Take, develop, and maintain radiographs following safety protocols.
• Provide basic animal handling and restrain animals during exams.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
