Qualifications

• Certificate from NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year related experience in a veterinary setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality pet care.
• Educate clients about pet health and hospital services.
• Obtain patient history and maintain medical charts.
• Ensure safe handling of pets and clean, organized treatment areas.
• Assist with surgeries and follow NAVTA guidelines for veterinary assistants.
• Mentor other paraprofessionals; perform other duties as assigned.
