Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality care for all pets. You will educate clients on health plans, assist during procedures, and help maintain a clean, safe hospital environment.

Responsibilities include obtaining histories, ensuring proper restraint, and following NAVTA guidelines while supporting patient comfort and care. Weekend/evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure quality care for all pets.
• Educate clients on pet health and preventive care.
• Assist with surgeries as applicable and monitor hospitalized pets.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and client histories.
