Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring safe, high‑quality care for pets and clients. You will help maintain smooth patient flow, assist with procedures, and educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.

Preferred is NAVTA‑approved program completion and a high school diploma or equivalent, with opportunities for growth and ongoing learning within the hospital team.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program completion or equivalent that provides required knowledge and skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians while ensuring safety of pets, clients and staff.
• Maintain flow of patients and assist with procedures.
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs.
• Educate clients about pet health and preventive care.
• Help keep exam rooms and laboratories clean and organized.
• Mentor other team members and uphold hospital standards.
