Job summary

ECS4Kids in Florida seeks a Substitute Teacher to provide a warm, nurturing classroom where children develop language, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.

You will support regular teachers, implement activities, uphold safety standards, communicate with families, and maintain portfolios and records.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child growth and development and developmentally appropriate practices for ages birth to 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Become the Primary Caregiver/Teacher when a regular teacher is absent.
• Familiarize with the day’s planned activities.
• Assist in implementing culturally sensitive educational activities.
• Provide a warm, nurturing environment and uphold ECS Discipline Policy.
• Develop nurturing relationships to support social and emotional development.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation standards.
• Follow policies on medical emergencies and medication handling.
• Ensure safe practices to prevent injuries.
• Maintain sanitation and hygiene procedures and center upkeep.
• Communicate with families and encourage parent involvement.
