The position requires weekend coverage, a valid Medical Assistant certificate, and completion of MA training. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support client safety and connections to resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• Must have completed a Medical Assistant training program.
• Must provide documentation of required Medical Assistant training and competency.
• Six months of prior experience in a healthcare or related field preferred.
• Must maintain a valid credential during your employment.
• Must obtain TB test clearance and update yearly.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and provide orientation to the Sobering Center.
• Establish positive relationships with clients while maintaining boundaries.
• Provide non-clinical emotional and practical support.
• Support clients in identifying next steps after stay.
• Document client observations at least every 15 minutes.
• Observe and document client presentation and condition changes.
• Communicate significant changes to supervisors or medical staff.
• Assist with showers, laundry, and program amenities.
• Assist with transportation or discharge arrangements.
• Adhere to de-escalation techniques and document incidents.
