Job summary

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret regulations governing animal control policies.
• Knowledge of animal care and handling; safety standards.
• Ability to work with the public in a calm, courteous manner.
• Able to operate multiple office devices and basic software.
• Willing to work varied hours including weekends/holidays; call-back.
• Must complete euthanasia training within 120 days if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Care for shelter animals; kennel cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintain records; manage animal intake, licensing, and adoptions.
• Assist with rabies control programs and public inquiries.
• Provide basic medical care and vaccination administration as policy.
• Support events, volunteers, and community outreach.
