Job summary

City of Conroe is seeking an Animal Care Technician to maintain a clean, sanitary City of Conroe Animal Shelter facility and to provide food and water to the animals in the shelter. The technician will assist with other daily operations as directed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a commitment to professional public interaction, reliability, and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call hours. Starting benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working with an Animal Shelter or Animal Clinic is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate with the public in a professional manner at all times.
• Must be able to read and write; basic math skills are required.
• Must be able to work around animals for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work emergency and on-call hours.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
