City of Baytown Animal Shelter is seeking a compassionate Animal Kennel Technician to care for animals in our shelter, maintain a clean and safe environment, and support adoption efforts. You will feed and provide water, monitor health, and ensure humane treatment while working as part of a team dedicated to community impact.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sanitation by cleaning cages, walls, windows, and flooring.
• Observation of animals for signs of illness or distress and reporting them.
• Ensures proper identification with tags, collars, and cage cards.
• Exercises animals and assists with check-in of new admissions.
• Handles chemicals safely and follows cleaning procedures.
