Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Grand Island, NE is hiring a Medication Technician to ensure residents receive medications accurately and with compassion. You will follow physician orders and the Six Rights of medication administration while using the eMAR system, delivering direct care, and guiding on-shift staff.

This role requires a current Medication Technician certification (or relevant senior care experience), CPR/First Aid, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician certification or at least 1 year of experience in senior care.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance on resident care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate Bickford's Mission to colleagues on shift.
