Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents with daily medications and care. You will follow physician orders, adhere to the Six Rights of medication administration, and utilize the eMAR system to document and verify therapy with compassion while maintaining residents' dignity.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least 1 year of senior care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to utilize or learn the eMAR system to administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow the resident MAR to administer medications according to physician orders.
• Follow the Six rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission 'Whatever it Takes' on shift.
