Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous cooking experience in a senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutritious, appetizing dishes and dietary requirements.
• Serve meals in a timely manner with quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen following safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and staff; assist in training new kitchen staff.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages or needs.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents' preferences.
