Cleveland House in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will prepare meals according to menu plans and dietary needs, and work closely with the Dietary Manager to ensure consistency and presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous cooking experience in a senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutritious, appetizing dishes with dietary considerations.
• Meal Service: Serve meals timely with quality, portion control and appealing presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment following safety procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Dietary Manager and kitchen staff; assist in training new team members.
• Inventory Control: Assist with inventory management and report shortages or orders.
• Resident Engagement: Accommodate residents’ dietary requests and preferences.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
