Job summary

Woodridge Assisted Living Facility is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

This role requires empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to dignity for every resident. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meal support, health monitoring, and collaboration with the nursing team to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and condition to the nursing team.
• Foster positive relationships and encourage participation in activities.
• Ensure living areas are clean, safe, and compliant with safety protocols.
