Job summary

Cedar Mountain House in Brevard, NC is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. You will assist residents with daily living activities in a safe, compassionate environment.

Key duties include helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, meal support, mobility, and monitoring health changes. Collaboration with licensed staff and engaging residents in social activities are essential to well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration as needed.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and physical condition to the nursing team.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and encourage participation in activities.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain health and safety standards.
