Job summary

Cleveland House in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and maintain a safe, compassionate environment. The PCA will provide direct care, monitor health and comfort, and collaborate with the nursing team.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, PCA/CNA training preferred, and at least 1 year of caregiving experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; PCA/CNA training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patient, compassionate, and attentive to residents' needs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration; maintain personal hygiene.
• Observe health changes and report to the nursing team; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster companionship and encourage participation in activities; ensure safety and infection control.
